Here at Ryder, we have the tools to make a wide variety of items. Awards are some of our favorite custom items to make, and boy did we have fun making these!

These medals for the winning team are made with wood, cut to shape with our in-house laser. We then printed on the piece of wood using our UV printer, producing gorgeous, vivid colors!

The runner-up (or runn-errr up) received a plaque made with a wooden back and a piece of acrylic attached with stand-off screws. The wooden back was stained to give it the aged look you see below, and both pieces were also UV printed.

For the final piece, the winning trophy, we were asked to put a spin on their trophy from a previous year, featuring a bat wrapped in barbed wire attached to a piece of wood with a descriptive plate. You may recognize this iconic bat from the show The Walking Dead.

We wrapped a wooden bat in barbed wire ourselves, then splatter painted it to make it appear bloody. The plate attached above the bat was created using a process called sublimation – a method of printing that uses heat to transfer ink to another surface.
